heal.abstract Prostate cancer (PCa), is today the second cause of cancer death in men. In developed countries, corresponding to 15% of all male cancers, compared with 4% in developing countries. It is the most common cancer in men and the second leading cause of death in men, primarily affects middle-aged and older men (Harry & Herr, 2008).For many men, the diagnosis of prostate cancer can be frightening, not only because there is fear for their lives, but also because there is the fear of losing their sexuality. In fact, the possible effects of prostate cancer, namely the problems of bladder control and erectile dysfunction, or impotence are the major concerns for some men (Harry & Herr, 2008). If prostate cancer is diagnosed early in the early stages when it is still localized in the prostate gland, there are better chances of a successful treatment with minimal or transient side effects only. The successful treatment of cancer that has escaped beyond the prostate gland is more difficult. But there are treatments that can help and control of advanced prostate cancer (Drake et al., 2007). Prostate cancer is one of the most common malignant disease in men and the disease is often advanced during the arrival of the patient. Prostate cancer is typically located in peripheral regions of the prostate and are relatively asymptomatic. In many cases, the diagnosis is made by the finger rectal examination, blood tests, including the serum acid phosphatase and prostate specific antigen in serum (PSA). During the digital rectal examination, prostate neoplastic palpated hard as a rock. The diagnosis is usually confirmed by taking prostate biopsies. In biopsies taken ultrasounds for imaging the prostate in order to measure the dimensions and the proper placement of the biopsy needle (Drake et al., 2007). en
